PGALS
(Paediatric Gait, Arms, Legs and Spine)

These two complementary videos are designed to support clinicians in confidently applying the PGALS screening protocol in everyday practice.

Part one provides a clear, structured walkthrough of the examination, with step-by-step guidance and clinical reasoning to reinforce best practice in identifying potential musculoskeletal abnormalities in children.

Part two builds on this foundation by illustrating how the protocol reveals key abnormal findings in real clinical contexts, using case examples of Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) and Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP).

Together, the videos aim to
enhance diagnostic awareness, improve examination technique, and strengthen early recognition of significant paediatric musculoskeletal conditions.
